Every season, the Musica Silvestra Orchestra is looking for players of each instrument that belongs to a symphony orchestra, such as violin, viola, cello, double bass, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon, trumpet, trombone and percussion. Therefore, we would like to give you the non-binding opportunity to get acquainted with our orchestra.

If you would like to see what it is like to play in a symphony orchestra, you are welcome to join one of our rehearsals on monday evening. The rehearsals take place in the Vrijhof at the campus of the University of Twente, from 20:00 until approximately 22:30. After the rehearsal we go to the Theatercafé to drink something.

For more information, don’t hesitate to contact our secretary, Jitse Leeftink:

Musician without an instrument?

For students who would like to play in an orchestra but who don’t possess an instrument, there is the possibility to rent an instrument at the Campus Instruments Fund (CIF) against payment of a student-friendly fee. Currently, the collection of CIF consists of approximately 35 string and wind instruments. More information can be obtained by our treasurer, Rieks Kaiser:
